We understand that supporters make a charity.

We ensure our clients maintain their existing relationships and develop new ones with supporters by adopting a responsible, sensitive and friendly approach to fundraising. We treat all supporters fairly and with respect and act at all times with the supporters’ best interests at heart.

Who We Are?

Set up in 2000 by Helen Suffell, we have developed alongside our clients and according to our mutual needs, which has resulted in the creation of a responsive, innovative and flexible organisation of which we are extremely proud.

What We Do

We work with over 70 charities (of differing sizes) on a range of campaigns, making over 200,000 calls per year. We work with you to develop innovative and bespoke telephone fundraising campaigns which compliment your existing fundraising activities.

“QTS have a ‘family’ feel about them and have been a dream to work with. Their results are good and consistent, they are always on hand to answer any questions and are very accommodating. I would definitely recommend them to any charity.”
National Autistic Society
“I like the fact that they get results without being pushy – it allows the donor to genuinely decide for themselves.”
Prospect Hospice
“Cumbria Wildlife Trust has used QTS for a variety of membership recruitment and fundraising campaigns since 2007. QTS has always given us good advice on which campaigns are working and are not afraid to say if something isn’t. The administration staff are incredibly helpful and very efficient and our members often tell us that the callers are friendly and polite. Working with QTS has definitely boosted our long term income and has helped enormously with our retention rates. I can’t recommend them highly enough.”
Cumbria Wildlife Trust
“Having worked with QTS before, I knew the team would have genuine, sensitive conversations with our supporters about leaving a gift in their will. The campaign did fantastically well, with almost 50% of the supporters we spoke with saying they would consider leaving a gift in their will to Friends of the Earth.”
Friends of the Earth
“We achieved a reactivation rate of nearly 15%, generating income of just over £4K for one year. We were delighted with this fantastic result; felt the calling team really understood our cause and represented us professionally, which resulted in a great all-round donor experience.”
Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home
“Our legacy campaign generated an outcome of 12% pledgers against a target of 5%, and 34% considerers against a target of 25%. This was an excellent result and we also saw a significant uplift in interest in our Legacy brochure and free will writing service.”
Family For Every Child
“QTS have consistently delivered high quality, flexible telemarketing services, on time and to budget.”
“Since March 2020, telephone became the lifeline for many people. With many people cut off from their friends, family and society receiving calls was never more important. Whilst I was managing the legacy telephone campaign for Royal Voluntary Service, it became clear that their donors valued the call and wanted to talk about their support.”
Royal Voluntary Service
“During a time of increased scrutiny from within Sector and with all the media attention telemarketing has been receiving, I have always felt complete confidence in QTS. From the briefing process, to meeting and training the callers, to the campaign itself I received nothing but the very best service. QTS’s unique set-up with home-based callers really makes them stand out in a crowded market. I will definitely be using them again.”
“Upgrade calls have been a fixture of the IG programme at Sue Ryder for many years (and in most DM programmes I have worked on). If carried out correctly, they allow you to deepen engagement with your regular giving supporters while raising more income from your programme. We weren’t sure what the response would be like in the current climate, but we have seen record results and fantastic feedback from our supporters.”

Donor reactivation by telemarketing – does it work?

Working with over a hundred charities, we frequently see donor acquisition as a primary fundraising strategy. And while this is an incredibly important area of activity, we suggest that donor reactivation is an easier (and less expensive) way of donor development.  Donor reactivation is reliant on trust – the donor is familiar with the...
